I
Are you ready for the “lazy days of summer?” You know, when you lounge in the sun, sipping on something cold, with a great book that you’ve been looking forward to reading?
Ha! Well, if you’re like me, my summers are busy and go by too fast! I wish they were slow and lazy, but that never seems to be the case. So, when I sit and read, there is no time to waste with a dull or poorly written book.
With this in mind, I have compiled a sensational summer book list, each read and recommended by myself and my stellar Book Club gals!
My Book Club is made up of primarily empty-nesters, who are a hilarious bunch of wise and intelligent, life-long learners, moms & wives, and women of faith. Seven of us meet monthly to discuss our book, but mostly we talk (A LOT!), laugh, cry, encourage, vent, and pray for one another. These are “my people,” and I am grateful I get to do life with these fantastic women.
I hope you enjoy these books, and maybe consider forming your own Book Club, where you can discuss the highlights and take-away points from a book and have accountability for finishing a book monthly or bi-monthly, but best of all – see your friends regularly to stay connected.
