As we raised our four boys, life was full and busy. My husband and I rarely had open weekends, let alone time for traveling or an extended vacation.
August and September have been “get back into routine” months, and money was shelled out for ASB cards and yearbooks, school clothes, PTA fundraisers, and sports.
Well, seasons change! Now that we are empty nesters, and we don’t need to abide by a school calendar, we are embarking on a grand adventure across the pond to Europe! We plan to visit six different countries, meet new people, find the roots of our heritage, see the beauty God has created, experience cities, cultures, and languages, and the joy of adventure together.
Get this! I am only traveling with one carry-on and a backpack! If you know me well, this is just crazy. I like to pack “options” and have ALL the things I may need. So, this is WAY out of my comfort zone!
I’ll let you know how it goes, but I’ve done enough research and learned that traveling free and light affords independence and freedom when moving from one destination to another, onto trains and planes, and getting around.
I’ve learned about the value and fantasticness of compression cubes, well-organized backpacks, and mix-and-matching clothes that are light and travel well.
I can’t wait to share with you the things I learn along this journey, travel hacks, and amazing places to visit.
Over the next few weeks, I will be taking a little break from blogging, however, you can follow our travel adventures on Instagram @leannseale and Facebook at LeannSeale.
I look forward to connecting with you on social media!
See you back here in early fall. Hugs to you!
